How to build a website on Blogger 2021

(step by step)

Today we will learn how bloggers create websites for free on Blogspot, so let's learn without wasting time.

This guide will help you to create a free website on Blogspot, you

do not need to buy domain and hosting services. Blogspot is a platform that allows you to create and host websites for free, it is owned by Google so you do not have to worry about server downtime and other issues. Plus, there are thousands of free blogger templates to help you professionalize your website. Can use Let's start with a step-by-step guide to creating a free website.

Step 1: People in Blogger

  Go here and sign in with your Gmail ID and password, if you do not have an account you can make it free by clicking the "sign up" button on the top right. Corner as shown in the screenshot below. Blogger belongs to Google, so you will need a Gmail account to create a website on Blogspot .

Step 2: Verify your profile Step 2 

Once you are logged in with your Gmail credentials, you will see the following screen. Click "Continue to Blogger" .

Enter the name of your website instead of the sample name and click Continue to Blogger.

Step 3): Provide tha domain name of the website

 At this stage, you will need to provide the title and address of your website. For example: If you want to build a website based on books, the address (also known as domain name and site URL) may be marketing.blogspot.com or any domain name that suits your business. And the title of your URL should make the  website look more professional. You should know that since these domain names are independent, they will be fixed in advance with Blogspot.com. Blogspot also gives us the option to have a custom domain name and we'll see how to add a custom domain name later in this guide.

The domain name must be unique so there is a chance that the domain name you want to choose is already registered. In that case you will need to try a different domain name until the blue mark appears to the right of the address field shown below.

Once you're done, select a template (you can choose any template at this time, you can change it anytime later, we'll show you how to do it) and create a blog.

Step 4: Start blogging

By completing step 3, you successfully own a website for free. Now, you can start publishing posts / articles, click start blogging

Step 5: Visit your website

Enter the address of your website in the browser and press Enter. You will be offered a website that you own !! Initially, you may not like the shape and layout but we have not finished the tutorial yet, we will show you every way to adapt our website, to make it look good and professional.

Step 6: Publish the post / article on the Blogspot website

Since you have successfully created a website on Blogspot, you can now start publishing articles on your new website. Refer to the screenshot below. Write content, title and publish to post.

Post settings

When you click publish, it will ask you to share the content on Google Plus, which you will want to do as it will be a good source of traffic to your newly created website.

Set up the desired owner structure in Blogspot?

You may be wondering what is permalink - this is a link to your post / article (the address you enter in the browser to view your posts).

There are two options available when you write a post .

Automatic Permalink: Based on the title provided in the title section, Blogger will automatically generate a permalink for the current post .

Resize your website

If you want to reshape your website, you can easily do so by modifying the website template. Click on the template, as you can see in the screenshot.

You will be presented with a set of templates. Click the Template button provided below each template in the library

. Alternatively, there are many websites where you can download a popular and good looking website template for free. We will share some of them in the next section of the website.

Download the current template backup and upload the new template to Blogger

Go to my blog »template, you will find the backup / restore button, click on it as shown in the snapshot below. In the next screen it will ask you to browse the new template or you can download the existing template to local machine.

Find free templates outside of Blogger: 

If you can't find a suitable website template in the Bloggers Library, you can get free templates from the site. Bloggers template on Google. Select the template from the website and download the zip file. Extract the zip file, in the extract folder you will find an XML file, 

Now right click on this file to open it by clicking on edit option then come back to the blog and open the theme option then go to edit theme and click on html option then control from here Delete all the coding and go back to the computer, control the XML file, copy and paste it back into the HTML where the coding was deleted and save it. Now your new template is ready.

Resize the navigation bar

Go to the Layout section from the sidebar and click Edit in the Newbar section. Choose the look and style you need and hit 

Add gadgets to your website

You can add gadgets in the sidebar of the blog under the navigation menu and in the footer. Each time you click the Add Gadget button in the Configuration section, a popup window appears where you can browse and add gadgets. Don't forget to save settings.

Add purchased domain

Above we have seen how we choose to have a BlogSpot domain which was associated with the word Blogspot, however, if you wish you can buy a domain of your choice and set it in Settings »Basic. Can add Click Add a custom domain and enter the domain name you purchased.
